Current creative writing classes
As the leaves are turning in Carlisle, another Introduction to the World of Creative Writing is ending. It was great to work with Tonja (round two), Jennifer, and Stephanie.
In two weeks, I’ll facilitate the Writing Together to Heal course. A different animal than the Intro to CW class, the six weeks are all about using writing to address a trauma–physical, mental, social, relationship-wise–that is like a wound. Using a technique developed by Dr. Pennebaker while researching the benefits of expressive writing, my students will write four times a week. I will tell them to keep what they wrote, or I will shred it for them. We’ll use class to discuss changes in perspective as together we write to heal.
Classes meet at the Stuart Community Center. Join us!
